The original Land Cruiser was derived from the demand for a lightweight, highly effective military off-road vehicle. The J100 chassis, introduced in 1998, brought a new body style, independent front suspension, and a 4.7L V8 powerplant. These updates added additional on-road comfort and greater power output, yet retained that rugged and dependable characteristic carried over for generations. With the J100 beginning to age, chances are your cooling system is starting to show some wear, specifically your engine radiator hoses. Over time, the stock rubber hoses will begin to degrade, harden, and become brittle. This increases the risk of coolant leaks, overheating, and breakdowns.
